He was predeceased by: his parents, Josie Wakefield and Lloyd Wakefield; and his sister Betty Vermillion. He is survived by: his wife Jacque Wakefield; and his children, Michelle Koester (Ward), Nadine Boyle, Richard Wakefield, Patrick Wakefield (Keran) and Elizabeth Wade (Nathan). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Panhandle Humane Society in honor of his love for dogs.
