It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patsy Lynn Simpson of Amarillo, Texas, born in Perryton, Texas, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Rifenberg and Velma Rifenberg. She is survived by: her husband James Simpson; and her children, Pam Buchly (Dan) of Amarillo, Tom Simpson (Gail) of Amarillo, Ed Simpson (Sherry) of Weatherford and Byron Simpson (Dana) of White Deer, Texas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

The family has requested any memorials be made to the Amarillo SPCA.
