He was predeceased by: his parents, John Johansson and Britt Johansson; and his mother-in-law Maxine Bankes. He is survived by: his children, Annika Spalding (Brett) of Amarillo and Stefan Johansson (Monica Mosier); his grandchildren, Olivia and Stellan Spalding; his brother Robert Johansson; his father-in-law Russell Bankes of Corsicana, TX; and his brother-in-law Mark Bankes of Dickson, TN.

Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army of Amarillo, High Plains Children's Home, or Christian Relief Fund.
