Mary Watts Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Watts in Amarillo, Texas, born in Silverton, Colorado, who passed away on August 24, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Yates Sr. and Marie Louise Kovith; her husband William D. Watts, Sr. (Bill); her sister Judy Szabo; her niece Kimberly Dawn Watts; her grandson David Duffield; her sons, Tommy Duffield and Rusty Watts; and her granddaughter Alana Watts.

She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Watts, Julie Vallelonga (Don) of Colorado Springs, Mark Duffield of San Antonio and Vickie Taylor of Ennis; her daughter-in-law Lori Duffield of Levelland; and her siblings, Clara Monger, Stella Hobaugh (Howard) of Farmington, NM, Grace Yates of Montrose, CO, Chester Yates (Joy) of Montrose, CO, John Yates of Montrose, CO, Marvin Yates (Terri) of Montrose, CO and Warren Yates (Lori) of Rockwood, TN. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Mary's wishes were to have donations made in her honor to Meals on Wheels, Childress Public Library, or Carey 1st Baptist Church.
