It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Jo Beam of Amarillo, Texas, born in Wellington, Texas, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Dickey and Ferne Dickey (Thompson); her husband Tommy W. Beam; and her sister Suzanne Axe. She is survived by: her children, Brent Beam (Shelly) of Amarillo, TX, Leigh Ann Newman (Jeff) of Tulsa, OK and Linda Davison (Brandon) of Paragould, AR; her grandson Daniel Bulkley (Olivia); her great grandchildren, Landen and Kylee Jo of Paragould, AR; her grandchild Brittain Beam (Tiffany); her great grandchildren, Maddy of Amarillo, TX, Caden of Amarillo, TX and Alexis of Amarillo, TX; her grandchildren, Conner Beam of Houston, TX, Rachel Newman of Tulsa, OK, Matthew Newman of Tulsa, OK, Emily Bulkley, Andrew Bulkley, Grace Bulkley of Paragould, AR, Greg and Kiefer Waller of Amarillo, TX; her brother-in-law Jim Axe of Lubbock, TX; and her cousin Steve Hunter (Susan) of Amarillo, TX..
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1208 S Tyler St, Amarillo, TX 79101).
The family would like memorial donations to be made to the Youth Department at First Baptist Church in Amarillo.
