It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcos Mendez of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Pedro Mendez; and also Jesusita Mendez. He is survived by: his sons, Marcos Mendez (Whitley Mendez) and Matthew Mendez (Shaneque Mendez); his granddaughters, Mikaela Mendez, Chloey Mendez, Gentri Mendez, Madilyn Mendez and Lucy Mendez; and his siblings, Pete Mendez, Rudy Mendez, Gloria Valdez and Christy Mendez. He is also survived by his two boys and his five granddaughters as well as his brothers and sisters and his countless nieces, nephews, and friends.
A rosary was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amarillo - Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109). A Mass will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1210 SE 11th Ave, Amarillo, TX 79102).
