John H. Whitney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2025, at the age of 92, John H. Whitney of Amarillo, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Whitney and Harriet Whitney; and his wife Frances Whitney. He is survived by: his children, David Fetherlin (Sheila) of Las Cruces, NM and Karen Allen (Michael) of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Fetherlin, Greg Fetherlin (Kimberley), Rebekah Fetherlin and Paul Allen (Autumn); and his great grandchildren, Alex, Reagan, Brianna, Carsyn, Liam, Scott, Logan and Isaac.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox Rowley Funeral Home (4180 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79109). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel (4180 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79109).
