It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Spier of Amarillo, Texas, born in San Francisco, California, who passed away on June 16, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter Spier and Rose Spier; his siblings, Bill Zimmerman, Harriet Zimmerman and Maureen Brown; his wife Vanese Spier; his stepchildren, Auralie Ruggeire (Paul) and David Edwards (Susan); his children, Allana Spier Frischenmeyer (Keith), Pam McCarren (Ken), David Nielsen, Cathy Hefler (Dave) and Robin Dobisky; and his sister Shirley Cash (Jack). He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
