James Scarbrough Obituary
In loving memory of James Scarbrough of Amarillo, Texas, who departed this world on January 6, 2025 at the age of 92. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Olney Scarbrough and Mary Scarbrough; his wife Genelle Scarbrough; and his brothers, O. L. Scarbrough, Kenneth Scarbrough, Edward Scarbrough, Bruce Scarbrough and Bobby Scarbrough.
He is survived by: his children, James David Scarbrough (Rebecca) of Rogersville, AL, Michael Scarbrough (Paige) of Columbus, NC, Bonnie Davis of Rogersville, AL, Mary Gillis (Ernest) of Mobile, AL and Debi Boyd of Irving, TX; and his brother Elmer Scarbrough. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox Rowley Funeral Home (4180 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79109). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
