He was predeceased by: his father James Brown, Sr.; his wife Katie B. Brown; and his brother William Patrick Brown. He is survived by: his mother Helen Brown (Yarbrough) of Fort Worth; his children, Galen "Gee" Brown (Christina) of Glenn Heights, Sabastian Brown (Tabby) of Elk Grove, Felicia Thomas (Lucy) of Bryan and Alesia; and his siblings, Flora Brown, Jacqueline Landrum (Richard) and Edward Brown of Fort Worth. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
