It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ila Jean Roach (Amarillo, Texas), who passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Lechner and Lelah Fudge Lechner; her children, Gary Lee Roach and Karen Elaine Roach; and her siblings, Ted Lechner and Darlene Wann (Oliver).
She is survived by: her son Ron Roach (Tanya) of Fritch; her grandchildren, Jason West, Jeffrey West, Joe West, Jeremy Roach (Megan), Melissa Kealing (Adam) and Robert Roach; and her siblings, Don Lechner (Nancy) of Amarillo, Georgia Dimitroff (Rodney) of Clayton and Mary Lutes (Billy) of Sedan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Llano Cemetery (2900 S Hayes St, Amarillo, TX 79103).
