It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenda Rhea Gaines of Amarillo, Texas, born in Wheeler, Texas, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Richardson and Vena Richardson; her daughter Kenda Simms; and her siblings, Connie Taylor and Kenneth Richardson.
She is survived by: her husband James Gaines; her sons, David Gaines (Stephanie) of Amarillo and Donald Gaines (Debra) of Amarillo; her sister Sandra Crowder of Chickasha, OK; and her grandchildren, Scott Gaines (Ashley), Jason Simms (Jennifer), Marcie Browning (Chris), Brad Simms (Cassie) and Braxton Gaines (Kori). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, other family members and dear friends.
