It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Lewis in Amarillo, Texas, born in Rhome, Texas, who passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Lewis and Lena Lewis; his wife Earlene Mills Lewis; his siblings, Ramona Davis (Joe) and Ovid Lewis; his brother-in-law Dean Allison; and his stepgrandson Zachary Beaman.
He is survived by: his children, Kyle Lewis (Nancy), Kirk Lewis (Robin) and Kelli; his grandchildren, Amanda Stevens (Jason), Adam Lewis (Jordan), Andrew Lewis (Melissa), Natalie Uhl (Bob), Kelley Beaman and Erin Montgomery; his siblings, Net Biggs, Leslie Lewis (Karen) and Roseva Ford (Don); his siblings-in-law, Bunny Allison and Gary Mills (Kathy); and also Stephen Bertles. He is also survived by his many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Gene's memory, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Meals on Wheels in Levelland, Texas.
