She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Sunday and Minnie Sunday; her husband Doyce Pope, Sr.; her sister Faye Holder; and her grandson Tulio Vela.
She is survived by: her children, Sabrina Varner (Jimmie) of Amarillo and Doyce Pope Jr. of Amarillo; her stepdaughter Anita Maes (Ken) of Washington; her siblings, Kenneth "Buck" Sunday of Perryton and Callie Nell Maillet of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Jessica Vela (Nick) of Amarillo, Sabrina Boyd (Kris) of San Diego, CA, Joseph Boyd (Chloe) of La Mesa, CA, Cherish Baker of Friona, Matthew Varner of Amarillo, Elizabeth Varner of Amarillo and Hunter Pennington (Marissa) of Amarillo; and her great grandchild Melody Varner.
