He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Marquez and Rita Marquez (Montoya); his wife Stella Marquez; and his son Sammy Marquez. He is survived by: his children, Lawrence Marquez (Pauline) of Las Vegas, NM, Tony Marquez of Glorietta, NM, Theresa Marquez of Albuquerque, NM, Mona Romero (Emilio) of Amarillo, TX, Lisa Galan (Phillip) of Amarillo, TX, Patti Soto (Robert) of Everson, WA, Leo Marquez (Kay Lynn) of Rochester, WA and Rosemarie Taylor (Johnathan) of Burleson, TX. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
