It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Shawver of Amarillo, Texas, born in Jacksboro, Texas, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Tabitha Cashion Shawver and Anderson "Andy" Shawver; his sister Mary Lois Slaton; his brother-in-law Ed Slaton; his niece Eva Marie Solomon; his sister-in-law Sandra Lewis Shawver; and his parents-in-law, Maxine Rice and William B. Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Shawver of Amarillo, TX; his children, Paula Guidry of Rowlett, TX and Ben Shawver of Denton, TX; his stepchildren, Byron Smith (Tiffany) of Lubbock, TX and Darci Smith Nuss (Jon) of Frederick, MD; his brother David Shawver of Richardson, TX; his siblings-in-law, Bill Rice (Edna) of Lubbock, TX and Lou Ann Cox (Terry) of Amarillo, TX; his grandchildren, Jacob, Alyssa, Bryce, Avery and Quinn; and his nieces and nephews, Casey, Cori, Michelle, William, Russell, Sarah and John.
