It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elida Baes of Amarillo, Texas, born in Three Rivers, Texas, who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Julio Benavides and Jovita Benavides (Rosales); her spouse Marcial Baes; her sisters, Mary Vidaurri and Irma Benavides; her children, Sally Howes (Jody Sheffield) of Ft. Worth, TX, Tina Zapata (Ralph Martin) of Edmond, OK and J. R. Zapata (Liz) of Hobart, OK; her grandchildren, Kendra Howes-Watson (Collin) of Ft. Worth, TX and Austin Zapata (Tanna) of Blair, OK; and her great grandchildren, Blakelyn and Kase Zapata. She was also cherished by six sisters and one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.
