He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. "Major" Schroeter and Margaret Schroeter; his wife Ilajean Brinkman; his former wife Charlotte; his brothers, Paul Schroeter and Alex Schroeter; and his grandsons, Eddy and Robby Schroeter.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan Schroeter (Terri) of Midland, Jay Schroeter (Jackie) of Amarillo, Ron Schroeter (Allison) of Amarillo, Egan Schroeter of Del Rio, Brenda Bailey (Brian) of Amarillo and Brenna Schroeter of Amarillo; his close friend LaNell "GoGo" Berry; his grandchildren, Maddi Schroeter, Major Schroeter, Austin Bailey, Blake Bailey, Chase Bailey (Brianna), Sydney Beeson (Josh), Jaybud Schroeter, Nolan Schroeter, Bradley Schroeter, Justin Schroeter, Sydney Schroeter, Megan Schroeter, Grace Schroeter, Will Brown (Samantha), Spencer Rocha, Tate Rocha, Katie Walton and Sammy McNabb; his great grandchildren, Sawyer, John, Bennett, Ryder, Raegan and Lucas; and also Jaime McNabb (Patrick).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Bethesda Outreach through Trinity Fellowship Church.
