He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Childress and Jean Childress; his former wife Dena Childress; and his stepson-in-law Randy Lee. He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his brother Jody Childress (Soonju); his children, Mikell Childress and Taren Bishop (Brady); his stepdaughters, Tanya Almaguer (Pablo), Angela Clark and Teressa Lee; his grandchildren, Kara Childress, Dylan Childress (Jaden), Cole Childress, Jacob Bishop (Kailey Williams), Josh Bishop, Jamie Lee, Tanner Webster (Britney), Tawni Gorman (Patrick) and Jaten Lee Dain (Haylie); and his great grandchildren, Bryntley Green, Daxtyn Green, Payton Green, Saylor Andrews, Caden Wooten, Rylee Childress, Brycen Childress, Bexley Childress, Charleigh Gorman, Haven Lee and Raynie Lee.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Church of Christ at Borger, 1100 Bulldog Blvd, Borger, Texas, 79007.
