He is survived by: his wife Evelia Ruiz of Tulia, Texas; his children, Joe Ruiz of Lubbock, Jessie Ruiz (Elva) of San Antonio, Texas and Mary Ann Garcia (Ruben) of Abernathy, Texas; and his siblings, Jessie Ruiz of McAllen, Joe Ruiz of Houston, Texas, Janie Longoria of El Campo and Peggy Calabro of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
