With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Clara McCauley of Amarillo, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Clara left this world on January 1, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wheeler Canida and Laura Canida; her daughter Sandra Vernon; and her siblings, James Canida, W. C. Canida, Charles Canida, Joyce Collins and Imogene Merrill.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry Fowler of Memphis, TX and Bobby McCauley (Renee) of Amarillo; and her siblings, Ronald Canida (Cindy) of Dallas and Naydean Wheeler of Amarillo. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel (4180 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79109). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cox Rowley Funeral Home (4180 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79109). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery-Memphis Fm.
