We bid farewell to Chris Evans of Amarillo, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 13, 2025 at the age of 51. Chris touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Evans and Gloretta Evans; his sister Barbara Evans; and his nephew Merrick Sherel. He is survived by: his wife Demetria Evans; his children, Clarence Evans of Midland, TX, Taylor Evans (Taryn) of Amarillo, Tosha Evans (Travis Harris) of Amarillo and Brittany Evans of Woodward, OK; his stepdaughters, Cheyanne Franklin (Dalton) of Amarillo and Jalynn Vinson (Rocky Jones) of Amarillo; his sisters, Betty Sue Evans of Joplin, MO, Tammy Christian (Billy) of Amarillo and Melissa Evans (Brandon Lemons) of Amarillo; and his grandchildren, Blake, Braxton, Sawyer, Bexley, Alexander, Rayney, Persia, Waverly, Garrett, Rhyett, Logun Jr. and Raylee.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox Rowley Funeral Home (4180 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79109). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association; or to the National Kidney Foundation.
