He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sherwood and Sarah Allene Pouncey Stafford; his son Collin Stafford; and his brother Charles Stafford. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Stafford of Amarillo; his sons, Charli (Penny) of Rogers and Joe (Lee) of Amarillo; and his grandchildren, Katie Beth McCallie (Cade) of San Antonio, Peyton Stafford of Arkadelphia, Tristan Stafford of Rock Springs and Linda Stafford of Amarillo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
