The memory of Carolyn Lucy Alonzo of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on November 10, 2024 at the age of 71, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Balbino Chavez and Della Chavez; her brother Thomas Chavez (Ginger); and her sister-in-law Josie Chavez. She is survived by: her husband Joe Alonzo; her daughters, Janice Pylant and Juliet Chambers (Gary); her brothers, Carlos Chavez (Debbie), Danny Chavez, Ralph Chavez (Janelda), Patrick Chavez (Angie), Michael Chavez and Raymond Chavez (Diana); and her grandsons, Julian, Gavin and Jonas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (4100 Coulter St S, Amarillo, TX 79109).
