He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy, Jr. Carter and Gwendolyn Jones Carter; his brother Kevin Carter; and his brother-in-law Lester J. Holland. He is survived by: his children, Byron Carter, Jr. of Irving, Tyron Carter (Saharr) of Amarillo, Texas., Carla Swain of Amarillo, Ashley Frick (Matt) of Austin and Sonya Luke (Rilo) of Arlington, Texas.; his sister Benita Carter Holland of Irving; his siblings-in-law, Jacqueline Cato Carter of Irving, Anjie Castilleja (Domingo), Ben Bitonel, Jr. (Gaye) of Albuquerque and David Bitonel (Joann) of Stinnett; his parents-in-law, Ben Sr. and Mary Bitonel of Dumas; his nephew Landon Carter of Irving; and his grandchildren, Britni Allen, Kayla Allen, Jeremiah Allen, Jordan Allen of Amarillo, Douglas Rudd, III of Little Rock, Shauntavius Freeman, LaDarian Rector of Arlington, Neveah Carter of Carrollton, Noah Frick, Kyndall Frick (KiKi) of Austin, Alana Dia and Gavin Dia of Amarillo. He is also survived by nieces, other nephews, and many other family members, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Llano Cemetery East (2900 S Hayes St, Amarillo, TX 79103).
