She was predeceased by: her parents, George Weldon and Etha Lillian Clay; her brothers, Weldon Ray Clay and James Carroll Clay; and her grandson Joshua David Ramos.
She is survived by: her husband Maurice Leslie Pierson Jr.; and her children, Maurice Leslie Pierson III (Marty), Viva of Amarillo, Melynda Leigh Ackley of Amarillo, Mark Lynn Pierson and James of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
