Betty left this world on December 12, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Betty departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Betty may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Betty leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucinda Tyler and Joseph B. Tyler; and her close friend Earl. She is survived by: her husband Earl Smith Horne; her children, Lucinda of Amarillo, Mary Fulce (Robin) of Panhandle, Texas and Joseph Horne (Lorraine) of Amarillo; and her grandsons, Matthew Horne (Olivia McDonald) of San Marcos, Texas, Jacob Horne of Dallas and Derek Fulce of Panhandle, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church (3100 Angelus Dr, Amarillo, TX 79107).
