It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ben White of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie White and Cordie White. He is survived by: his wife Joan Kay White (Joan Kay); his children, Karen Stone (Kenny) of Amarillo, Karla White of Dumas and David White (Betsy) of Houston; his grandchildren, Erika Turner (Matt Hanks), Parker McKee, Kayla O'Dowd (Luke) and Benjamin White (Aren Sackett); and his great grandchild Walker Hanks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cox Rowley Funeral Home (4180 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79109). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery-Pampa (2215 N Price Rd, Pampa, TX 79065).

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking you donate to an Alzheimer's Association or your favorite charity.

“I am so sorry to hear of Coach White’s passing. I have such wonderful memories of him, as well as the entire family. Karen and I had so much fun together. I was always treated as one of their own. Coach White was an encourager, mentor, and a positive influence on me as a teenager. I truly appreciated and treasured his advice. Ben and I had a special working relationship on our “vocational hall.” Ben was a joy to work with, but Wallace says he was even more fun to fish with! Ben was a unique person.
