It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Gayle (Gibson) Lucero of Amarillo, Texas, born in Dumas, Texas, who passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Grandma Wilson (Grandpa Wilson) and Grandma Canon (Grandpa Canon). She is survived by: her parents, Imagene Gibson (Wilson) of Amarillo and Richard Gibson (Dick) of Amarillo; her husband Johnny Lucero of Amarillo; her son Seth Lucero; her stepsons, Johnathan Lucero and Jacob Lucero (Venny); her stepgranddaughters, Mina and Mavis; and her siblings, Rick Gibson (Donalee) of Amarillo and Denene Craven (Mickey) of Amarillo. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 81795, Austin, TX 78708.
