He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Angel Sr. and Erma Hernandez (Mitchell); and his sister Debbie Puente (Roy). He is survived by: his wife Tangi Hernandez (Woolbright) of Amarillo, Texas; his daughter Kelsie Stancell (Austin) of Muleshoe, Texas; his grandsons, Mason and Warren Stancell; his siblings, Lupe Padilla (Michael) of Hereford, Macedonio Hernandez of Amarillo, Rebecca Lindaur (Randy) of Hereford, Olga De Lao (Juan) of Friona and Sally Cooney (Michael) of Hereford; his parents-in-law, Robert and Rose Woolbright of Dimmitt; his siblings-in-law, Krystal Welch (Rick) of Amarillo, Texas, Tohme Woolbright of Amarillo, Texas and Robert B Woolbright of Amarillo, Texas; and his close friends, Chaz, Janet Conley, Jim Conley, Shain Rhodes, Gary Herring and Judy Washington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oasis Baptist Church (8201 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79110).
