She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Osborne and Edith Osborne (Harvey); her sisters, Barbara Everson, Karen Osborne and Kathy Cowen; and her granddaughter Chelsea Forcey.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Short of Alvord; her children, Chadd Short (Shawna) of Denton, Wendy Mcilveene (Tim) of Boonesville and Stacy Short of Decatur; and her sister Jacque Haddock (Greg) of Pampa. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Memorial can be made in Sammye's name to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice in Wise County.
