With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Charles Nellis of Alvord, Texas, born in Dayton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2024 at the age of 90. He is survived by: his wife Nanci Lee NellisHis; his daughters, Stacey Earley, Liza Banks, Erin Nellis and Barbara Nellis TownsendHis; his grandchildren, James Earley, Chloe Banks and George EarleyHis; and his great grandchildren, Gene Marie Earley and Isaac George Earley.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hawkins Funeral Home - Decatur (405 E Main St, Decatur, TX 76234-1513). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at 465 Cemetery Rd, Decatur, TX 76234. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (100 W Washington St, Alvord, TX 76225).
