It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Burger (Alvord, Texas), born in Plymouth, Michigan, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest A. Burger and Edna Burger (Gottschalk); and his brothers, William Ernest and Gene Douglas Burger. He is survived by: his wife Emma Burger (Batterton); his daughters, Angela Jane Burger of Bowie and Sarah Elizabeth Ridge (Robert) of Alvord; and his grandchildren, Shilah Brook Bell (Craig) of Gainesville, Brandon James Ridge of Alvord and Haliegh Elizabeth Ridge of Alvord.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the WMU Ministry of Mount Zion Baptist Church in memory of Jim Burger.
