She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis Barrera and Rafaela Barrera (Guzman); her husband Phillip Trevino, Sr.; her daughters, Inez Tamez and Lillian Trevino-Lee; and her siblings, Beatrice Gonzalez, Josie Martinez and Lorenzo Cuellar.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Thompson, Robert Gamez, Janie Gamez, Diana Tamez, Esther Maldonado, Rafaela Guidry and Phillip Trevino, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
