She was predeceased by: her husband Isidoro S. Martinez, Jr.; her son Daniel H. Martinez; her grandson Luis Hunter Martinez; and her parents, Juan R. Hinojosa and Andrea Hinojosa (Ayon).
She is survived by: her children, Isidore H. Martinez, III (Terry), Dr. Luis H. Martinez (Mary Jane), David H. Martinez (Debra), Charles H. Martinez (Isabel), Cynthia Shane (Robert) and Lucinda Cerda (Jose, Jr.); and her grandchildren, Angela, Andrea, Lori, Chris, Rob, Sherry, Mark, Josh, Caleb, Aaron, Adrienne, Christina, Dominique, Davin, Carlos and Catya. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting consideration of a donation in memory of Elena Hinojosa Martinez to be directed to the Isidoro S. & Daniel H. Martinez Memorial Scholarship at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (http://www.javelinagiving.org).
