He was predeceased by: his parents, David Gates and Esther Gates; his wife Sandra Gates; and his sons, Cliff Gates and Stephen Gates.
He is survived by: his sister Sylvia Worrell; and his sons, Cris Gates and Ronnie Gates. He is also survived by family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (1421 E Hwy 6, Alvin, TX 77511). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Jones Cemetery.
