He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernette Hess and J. C. Hess; and his wife Georgia Ann Hess. He is survived by: his children, Jay Hess (Penny), Justin Hess (Shonya) and Susie McCauly; and his grandchildren, Jered Hess, Jaymee Pollard (Dewayne), Austin Hess, Kenneth Hess of Nathan Hess, DJ, Christa, Lyric and Shaley. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
