It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Hunter of Alvarado, Texas, born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on January 15, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter L. Hunter and Jessie Hunter (Lunsford); his wife Sallie "Carrington" Hunter; his children, Jackie Morris (Tammy), Wesley Hunter (Amy), Jerry McGowan, Iowana Elaine Henson (Wayne) and Rhonda Savage (Rodney); his grandchildren, Richard, Tracie, Stacie, Casie, Cheryl, Wesley, John, Summer, Jackie, Matthew, Aidan, Rockey and Angel; his great grandchildren, Dakota and Bryan; and his sisters, Peggy Strain, Josie Carrington and Virginia Gwilt. He was also cherished by 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
