He was predeceased by: his parents, Novis Henry Burgess and Edna Marie Burgess; and his son Brett Allen Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Royal Burgess; his children, Kyle Wilson Burgess and Ryan Michael Burgess (Amanda); his grandchildren, Micah Wilson Burgess (Corissa), Matthew Reed Burgess (Rayanna), Jace Christopher Torres, Bailee Grace Burgess, Brooklin Laine Burgess and Sylar Marie Torres; and his great grandchild Carter Allen Wayne Burgess.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home (200 E Patton Ave, Alvarado, TX 76009). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at the Glenwood Cemetery (415 N Pkwy Dr, Alvarado, TX 76009).
