He is survived by: his wife Eva Hill; his siblings, Alan Shafer, Mary "Sissy" Woolard, Lisa Yawn and Jody Stockton; his daughters, Brandi Shafer and Amber Hovey; and his grandson Preston Hovey. He is also survived by 7 nieces, 4 nephews, 6 great nieces and 10 great nephews.
