He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitney Joseph Sonnier Sr. and Nola Boutte Sonnier; his daughters, Renee Sonnier and Cindy Ball; and his siblings, Richard Sonnier and Barbara Loden.
He is survived by: his wife Reba Sonnier of Alto; his sons, Jeffrey and Sean Sonnier of Alto; his brother Nolan Sonnier of Spring; his son-in-law Joe Ball of Alto; his grandsons, Dustin Ferrell and Brandon Sonnier; and his great grandchild Kira Ferrell.
