It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Devonte Mumphrey of Alto, Texas, born in Jacksonville, Texas, who passed away on February 8, 2022, at the age of 15, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Jimmy Smith and Johnny Skinner; his aunt Keisha Green; and his cousin A'Nyia Tyra. He is survived by: his parents, Javonettie R. Mumphrey and Shameka D. Hackney Mumphrey; his siblings, Javonettie Mumphrey Jr., Alexander Jackson, Destiny Mumphrey and Jasmyn Mumphrey; and his grandmother Bennie Mitchell. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
