She was predeceased by: her parents, Duane Tompkins Cowen and Gwendolyn Marjorie Cowen (Seabrook); and her brothers, Daniel Duane Cowen, Richard Warren Cowen and Curtis Phillip Cowen.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Kamel "Doc" Girgis; her children, Dr. Magda Girgis (Connie Jenkins) and Christopher Girgis (Beverly); her grandchildren, Zoe and Brady; and her great grandchildren, JC and Hunter.
