Though Sammie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sammie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Barnes and Jo Anna Barnes (Hufstutler); his wife Carolyn Ann Stewart; and his grandson Craig Baxter. He is survived by: his children, Randy Barnes (Nancy) of Blue Ridge, Texas, Robin Baxter (Curtis) of Allen, Texas, Steven Barnes (Kathy) of Mesquite, Texas and Sheri Barnes of Allen, Texas; and his grandchildren, Steven Barnes (Arianne), Aubree Finch (Aubrey) and Alycia Madden (Bryan). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
