He was predeceased by: his parents, Trinidad Almendarez and Aurelia Almendarez (Garza). He is survived by: his children, Nick Almendarez of Ft. Worth, Texas, Stacy Reyes of Garland, Texas, Nina Valdez-Almendarez (Lupe Valdez) of Rowlett, Texas, Isaac Almendarez of Garland, Texas and Amanda Almendarez (Jaime Gaytan) of Wolfe City, Texas; the mother of his children Maria Vandergriff of Leonard, Texas; and his siblings, Ted Almendarez, Pete Almendarez, Fidel Almendarez, Virginia Macias and Rita Ramos. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. And many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
