He was predeceased by: his parents, Zacharia Lyn Sutton and Clara Colclasure Sutton; his wife Myra Jane Lamont; his daughter Valeria; and his siblings, Harrold Sutton and June Sutton Whiteside.

He is survived by: his son Craig (Amy) of Parker, TX; his grandsons, Zachary Sutton (Katie Mason) of Dallas and Austin Sutton (Megan) of Norman, OK; and his sister-in-law Pat Sutton of San Antonio. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and four beloved dogs.
