He was predeceased by: his parents, Granvel Paige and Rosie Lee Ponder Townsend; and his siblings, Arthur Dale Townsend, Royce Townsend and Vena Mae Biggers.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Townsend of Allen; his daughters, Leah Conner (Randy) of Pikeville and Amy Colleton (Warren) of Seneca, Missouri; and his siblings, Terrell Townsend of Hope, Arkansas, Dennis Townsend of Hope, Arkansas, Barbara Marsh of Houston and Mary Nell Mathis of Maude. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
