He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Richey and Nellie Magnolia Nielsen; and his siblings, Dean, Philip, Sharell, Milford and Maleen.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Elinor Herburg Richey; his daughters, Denise [David] Poulter, Wendy C. [Stephen] Fitzer, Jenny R. (Michael R.), Fisher, Crystal D. (Michael B.) and Joyce Adele; his grandchildren, Kami, Chad, Tawny, Jeremy, Jesse, Adam, Paul, Andria, Jared, Rachel, Jessica, Austin, Blake, Kyle, Noah, Kiersa, Caitlin, Bryce and Benjamin; and his sister Lavina. He is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren.

“I just learned of Uncle Dale’s passing. I am sorry for your loss of a great husband, father and grand father for your family! There is a great Richey legacy all rolled into Uncle Dale and Aunt Nancy’s family! I remember fondly of seeing you girls in the yard of grandpa and grandma Richey’s house playing as cousins do in their grass on their little hill. I always looked up to you girls and thought you all were so happy and joyful as we were together at occasional family reunions. Love Jeff Plat”
