He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mansel Tillman Evans and Gladys Dora Sifford; his wife Carol; his children, Phillip, Brian (Tanya), Melody (Aaron), Alanna (Aaron) and Kelly (Lonnie); his grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel, Noelle, Benjamin, Kaydee, Shannon, Michelle and Ryan; and his siblings, Mansel Jr. (Sonny), Peggy and Cleo. He was also cherished by 3 great grandchildren and various nephews and nieces.
