She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Calvin and Beulah Mae King (Walker); her husband James Roy Dorsett; her son James Roger Dorsett; her grandson J. C. Kizer; and her brother J. C. King.
She is survived by: her daughter Melinda Kizer (Kurt) of Allen, Texas; and her grandchildren, Evan Kizer, Ryan Kizer and Mallory Kizer.
